THE ACACIA STRAIN: 'The Most Known Unknown' DVD Details Revealed

January 12, 2010

Prosthetic Records has set a February 16 release date for "The Most Known Unknown", the long-anticipated debut DVD from Massachusetts-based metallic juggernauts THE ACACIA STRAIN.

Disc one documents a sold-out show at the Worcester Palladium shot in December 2008, while disc two contains footage of a show at the much smaller and more intimate Waterfront on the band's home turf of Holyoke, Massachusetts, as well as three music videos, a documentary covering the formative years of the band and a "10 Seconds of Fame" bonus segment, in which select fans were given 10 seconds on camera to do whatever they wanted.

"The Most Known Unknown" features cover art by Paul Romano, who was also responsible for the cover of THE ACACIA STRAIN's latest album, "Continent", as well as covers for MASTODON, TRIVIUM and many more.

A "The Most Known Unknown"pre-order is now available, as well as a bundle featuring an exclusive t-shirt.

To celebrate the release, the band will throw a preview party at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 12 at the Worcester Palladium Upstairs, which will consist of a screening of the DVD as well as a special live performance from the band.

Commented frontman Vincent Bennett: "After answering the question 'When does the DVD come out?' countless times with, 'I have no idea,' I can finally tell you THE DVD COMES OUT FEBRUARY 16TH!

"If you think you were anticipating this release, you have no idea. We worked our asses off on this DVD. We wanted to give you something worth your money. Two DVDs with two different shows, plus a mini-documentary about the band!

"You've waited this long... Don't forget to pick up a copy!"

THE ACACIA STRAIN sold almost 5,600 copies of its new album, "Continent", in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 107 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD debuted at No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

THE ACACIA STRAIN is preparing to enter the studio to begin recording a new CD for a summer 2010 release.
